Emerge attended the Avanti Summit this past March at Casa Larga Vineyards in Rochester, NY. The Avanti Entrepreneur Group hosts this annual event to celebrate the region’s entrepreneurs by showcasing the business leaders and their high growth organizations. A team from Emerge came to support our CEO, Leo Linder, and network with other organizations at our booth.
Cheryl Dinolfo, Monroe County Executive, kicked the summit off touching on the importance of small businesses in the community. Events like these solidify the strong community that is Rochester. Each entrepreneur spoke on their different backgrounds, the motivation that drove them on the path to success, and most importantly- the support of their community.
From discussing employee engagement, brand authenticity, and giving back to the community- these entrepreneurs provided great insight on how to make your company different. With great success comes great failure as well. Not every path the was the smoothest, but the speakers learned their lesson and provided sound advice to future business owners.

He credited his success to the Leadership Contribution Model: know your superpower; share what you know and listen; and understand your company values, mission or vision. Throughout his path to success, Leo learned three tools that attribute to becoming a successful entrepreneur.
