China Emerge is actively recruiting candidates for a direct hire CNC Lathe or CNC Mill Machinist Job in Rochester, NY for our client, a busy manufacturer of quality products. We have openings on 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Experience with HAAS, Doosan, Makino, or Toshiba is highly desirable. Hourly pay rates are based on experience and there is an excellent shift premium for 2nd (B) or 3rd (C) shifts and great benefits package. Overtime is available.
Responsibilities for the CNC Mill Machinist Job in Rochester, NY include:
- Perform manual measurements.
- Use of standard measurement tools to ensure quality
- Operate various types of CNC and manual equipment.
- Will complete any given job at, or below, the estimated hours – including setup.
- Manages tooling including fixtures, inserts, holders, and specialized tooling.
- Maintains CNC Machinery, performs preventive maintenance measures.
- Operate other CNC or manual equipment when the CNC lathes are not needed.
- Use Blueprint Reading Skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 1-year CNC Programming (set up and edits) experience.
- Minimum 5 years lathe experience; 3 years on CNC Lathe.
- Blueprint Reading Skills.
- Able to setup and run concurrent jobs on multiple machines.
- Able to use standard measuring equipment such as micrometers, comparators.
- Strong shop math skills
- Able to work to metric dimensions
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and ISO quality systems.
- Able to work to metric dimensions
