Job Description:

Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire Operations Manager for a small manufacturing company. The Operations Manage will oversee daily operations of the very small production team, productivity, quality control and safety measures to ensure deadlines are met. The Operations Manager will report to the CEO and will maintain a high-quality standard of product production and delivery. Our client offers a starting salary of up to $65,000 per year and comprehensive benefits package. 


Responsibilities for the Operations Manager Job in Erie, PA include:

-Train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees

-Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions to ensure all operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective way

-Improve operational management systems; contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans

-Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends

-Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations and OSHA requirements

-Support employee communication with the management team

-Purchase materials, equipment, and tools; plan inventory and safety stock; maintain solid and accurate inventory data; oversee warehouse efficiency

-Formulate strategic and operational objectives; provide short- and long term goals; report to CEO and upper management

-Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company

-Manage operation budgets and report forecasts to management team

-Work with and support QA Manager to perform quality controls and monitor production key performance indicators

-Manage relationship with key suppliers and OEM; track supplier pricing and service quality; establish contracts and pricing, and ensure proper maintenance

-Work with staff to create an OSHA/safety standards program and maintain it Occasional travel

-Perform as back up for Technician



-Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or the Sciences or (10) years’ progressive experience in a production environment (medical device/equipment preferred).

-Prior experience in ISO certified companies; familiarity with ISO:13485 a plus

-Knowledge of Business Administration

-Advanced written and verbal communication skills (bilingual a plus)

-Proficient in Microsoft Office
