Emerge is actively recruiting for an exciting new opportunity for a VP of Finance in Erie, PA. Our client is a growing high precision tooling and plastic injection mold company. Our client recently received $100 million dollars in investment from 2 Private Equity companies. This position will report directly to the CEO with a dotted line to the owner of the company. This position will offer a generous base salary, a bonus based on EBITDA, excellent benefits, relocation, and 401K.
Job Duties for the Vice President of Finance in Erie, PA.
- Manage the accounting and finance departments including month end close, financial reporting packages, accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue recognition, fixed assets, cash flow forecasting and account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts including the balance sheet and P&L
- Prepare budgets
- Perform activity-based costing, inventory analysis, physical inventory and manage the cost accounting functions
- Perform product profitability analysis and prepared capital expenditure recommendations
- Perform audits and work with external auditors to determine the reliability and integrity of financial information and reporting in accordance with GAAP
- Perform activity-based costing, inventory analysis including FIFO calculations and physical inventory
- Prepare annual operating plans and monthly forecasts including profit and loss and balance sheets
- Perform acquisitions including due diligence that significantly increase revenue
- Perform accounting research to determine the proper GAAP accounting methods are applied to transactions
- Responsible for driving the organization to profitability and increasing EBITDA
- Prepare corporate tax returns, state tax returns, and analyze tax regulations for compliance
Job Requirements for the Vice President of Finance in Erie, PA.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA Preferred
- 8-10 years of manufacturing industry experience
- 8-10 years of job cost accounting experience
- 8-10 years of tooling or plastic injection manufacturing experience
- Experience in performing acquisition due diligence
- Ability to report to a BOD
- Strong Microsoft suite skills
- Expert in Microsoft Excel
- ERP implementation experience
- Familiar and able to update a 13-week cash flow forecast
- Forecasting experience for 13-week cash flow, sales, and EBITDA monthly, and annually
- Ability to make journal entries in QuickBooks
- Experience with add backs on adjusting EBITDA
- Experience with revenue recognition ASC 606, recognizing revenue over time (% complete)
