Our client specializes in supporting its global client with global ERP implementations and is currently looking at strengthening its SAP teams: We are recruiting Bilingual Senior Project Manager in Tokyo/Yokohama.
Fluent Japanese level preferred, more than N1 level & at least Business Level English.
Deliverable Description:
– SAP SD S4 Hana Business Blue Printing Workshops, Customization and Configuration
– S4 Hana project related activities like FS preparation, Testing, Training, Migration etc.
– Analyze customer requirements and estimate the effort required for completion of task
Expected Effort / Timelines: 22 days per month per person

This section is used to describe what knowledge, skills and abilities are required to perform the daily tasks
- IT Project management knowledge based on PMBOK.
- Japanese equivalent to Level 1 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (Native in Japanese), Business English with a TOEIC score of 740 or higher (negotiable in English)
Mandatory / Preferred Skills:
– Candidate should be PMP Certified and should be business proficient in English and Japanese language skills
– Should have handled large implementation project over 10 Oku and should have lead over 50 project members preferably in Manufacturing and Logistics projects
– Possess good knowledge on topics such as Material Management, BOM Management, Engineering change management, Revision Level concepts and Classification Management.
– Knowledge on the handover of the Engineering BOM to the Manufacturing BOM.
– Understanding of the Document Management System.
– Basic Knowledge on the offerings of the Variant Configuration.
– Experience in handling SAP projects in Automotive industry is preferred
– Extensive experience in managing multiple interfaces (From and To SAP system) using IDOC, RFC, EDI, Webservices, API, FTP and others.
– Possess knowledge on ‘Knocked down” concept prevailing in Automotive industry.
– Logical thinking and problem solving skills along with an ability to collaborate
– Proactive and positive attitude to work
– Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, Teams, etc.), SharePoint, Confluence, etc.
– Communication and working skill under Remote work environment and with multiple teams
– Skill of documentation, presentation, facilitation. PMO lead required to communicate with over senior management level.
– PMO should support the functional / technical lead only for documentation, based on guidance and inputs from the functional/ technical lead.
– IT Project experience/Knowledge in a manufacturing BoM, Logistics, Supply chain management related
– Should understand the customer business processes and the IT landscape rapidly and able to foresee the likely challenges
– SAP product and SAP related project skills/knowledge/experience would be preferable
– Proficient in client requirements elicitation, investigating underlying causes and identifies short term or long-term solutions
– Candidate should have Interface Concept & Strategy definition / Investigation of upstream and downstream/Interface architecture definition
– Project at Assembly-based manufacturing, preferably an automotive OEM
– Project planning and mapping requirements of clients as well as different stakeholders, vendors, partners, service providers, sub-contractors
– Proficiency in entire lifecycle encompassing setup, configuration, testing, maintenance and support
– Experience in managing medium to large projects or programs as per the quality standards, right from scoping, preparation of functional specifications till roll-outs
– Proficiency in functionality and business process of service management and providing acceptable level of support to users in coordination with vendors
– Lead with demonstrated abilities in training & motivating large teams
– Project status reporting to senior management and steering committee members
