Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a 1st shift Boring Machinist job in Erie, PA for our client, a manufacturer of quality commercial and government products. This is a direct hire job. We are seeking candidates that have hands-on Boring Lathe and Mill machining experience, excellent math and measurement skills and can read blueprints. This is a first shift position offering excellent benefits. Recent Trade School graduates in CNC Machining Technologies are encouraged to apply.

Requirements for the direct hire Boring Machinist Job in Erie, PA include:

• Drilling, boring and honing of manufacturered product of varying in length and with ID’s ranging from 10 to 18 inch bore diameters.
• All inside diameter work is performed from drilling the for heat treat to finish boring and honing the products.
• ID holding print dimensional and finish tolerances.

Qualifications:

• One (1) or more years of experience operating boring l in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to set up and operate manual mills and lathes.
• Working knowledge of measuring devices including indicators, micrometers, and others.
• Must be able to read Blueprints
• Must pass pre-employment physicals and screenings.
• Able to work up to 48 hours per week.
