Maintenance Technician – 2nd shift

Job Description:

Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire Maintenance Technician Job in Lexington, TN for our client, a busy manufacturer of quality products. This is a 2nd shift position working Monday – Thursday, 10 hour shifts. The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of general manufacturing maintenance duties including testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying developmental and production electrical/mechanical components, parts, equipment, and systems which include electrical, PLC Troubleshooting, mechanical, and hydraulic in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment and facilities. The electro-mechanical maintenance technician troubleshoots, installs, dismantles, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance and needed repairs. Our client offers a base salary of $18.40 to $32.50 per hour depending on experience with a $1.00 shift differential.  This company has an excellent benefits package that starts day one.


Responsibilities for the 2nd shift Maintenance Technician job in Lexington, TN include:

  • Discusses layouts/problems with Department Supervisors, Maintenance Supervisor, Engineer.
  • Troubleshoot, install, repair electrical/electronic equipment to determine cause of malfunction and repair.
  • Troubleshoot, install, repair mechanical equipment to determine cause and repair.
  • Program and write common PLC programming.
  • Perform and be efficient in high voltage tasks.
  • Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify electrical circuitry/mechanical parts.
  • Dismantle defective machines/equipment and install new or repaired parts.
  • Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.
  • Set up/operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
  • Fabricates and/or repairs wooden or metal structures.
  • Lay out, assembles, installs, repairs, and maintains pipe systems such as hydraulic, pneumatic, water, steam, gas.
  • Performs all assignments utilizing all prescribed safety practices to very best of their ability.
  • Practices all established safety rules and regulations such as lock-out/tag-out procedure (LOTO) on all assignments.



Qualifications:


  • Required: Two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry, fractions, etc.
  • Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
  • Able to work overtime as needed
  • Must be able to pass client background checks.
