Part-Time Data Center Technician

Job Description:


We are hiring a Part-Time Data Center Technician (DCT) for a
large-scale financial Data Center at our client’s location in Clifton, NJ to
work 12 hours on Sunday and possibly additional hours during the week depending
upon availability.
The DCT will deliver hands-on expertise and perform
operational tasks including rack/stack and understanding of switch/port
configurations as well as cable pulling, placement, termination, testing, and
labeling within the Data Center.
  Applicants must have at least 1 year of experience working inside of a
Data Center.

Job Responsibilities  

  • Rack and stack equipment and IT hardware in a corporate Data
  • Perform testing and labeling of cables and patch systems
  • Provide installation and termination of servers and IT
  • Install support hardware for all devices in cabinets within a
    secure, raised-floor environment
  • Document problem resolution summaries using online ticketing
  • Support 3rd party vendor activities


  • Must have at least 1 year experience installing and
    maintaining data center equipment within a large Data Center
  • Strong cable management and rack and stack skills
  • Working knowledge of Fluke test equipment is desired, but not
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an ability to adjust
    priorities and work effectively with a team
  • Able to work independently inside of a Data Center


 Work Environment

  • Data
    Center working a 12-hour shift on Sundays.
      Possible additional hours during the week depending upon availability

    be able to pass a rigorous background check and drug test

  • Pay
    range from $27-$31 per hour; based upon experience
