for our client, a technology company with a public safety mission. Through relentless innovation and discovery,
they are strengthening trust, safety and transparency across the student
transportation space and making the trip to and from school safer for
students.
We are seeking
a skilled and experienced Python and AWS Developer. The ideal candidate will
have experience in Workflow Automation development. This position will require
you to work in close concert, as part of a larger team where you will be
required to share your insights to drive a better process.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and implement workflow automation
solutions that meet business requirements and enhance operational
efficiency- Create one-off microservices to integrate new
workflows into existing applications- Conduct feasibility studies, analyze data, and
identify opportunities for automation- Build and test serverless functions in AWS using AWS
Serverless technologies- Create and maintain documentation related to
automation processes, including process maps and technical design
documents- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure
successful integration of automation solutions- Apply sprint methodology to rapidly develop
identified solutions and iteratively improve them- Develop workflows that include connections to S3 and
Redshift, document template management, approval queues, and extremely
detailed validation and testing- Be able to describe several end-to-end processes they
have designed and developed using the workflow automation tools
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information
Technology, or equivalent experience- At least 5 years of experience in Python and AWS
development- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda,
StepFunctions, API Gateway, Event Driven Workflows, AWS CDK- Familiarity with Docker
- Strong knowledge of process design and mapping
methodologies- Experience working in agile or iterative development
environments, using sprint methodology- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Bonus Points
if:
- Experience with augmenting video overlays/using
FFMpeg or equivalent video processing tools
Work Environment:
· Remote, work from home
· Monday-Friday work week and must be located in
East Coast Time Zone
· Applicants must be currently authorized to work
in the United States on a full time, permanent basis
· Pay rate is $75/hour
