Director, Customer Quality
This job requires creativity, self-motivation, personality and a
professional attitude. The individual must develop positive,
collaborative relationship with internal and external customers and must work
well in a team environment. Daily interaction with all factories and all
levels of associates including supervisors, managers, and other peer groups.
External contact with customers and subcontractors is also required. It
requires work on issues of diverse scope where evaluation of a situation may
require consideration of a variety of factors. He/she must follow process
and operational policies when reviewing and selecting methods for obtaining
solutions, may act as an advisor to define and implement solutions to problems
and must exercise judgment within defined procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide management and leadership of multiple
Customer Quality teams, providing guidance to problem-solving teams –
provide coaching in the use of quality tools such as Ishikawa, 5-why’s,
etc. - Review product quality issues and determine the need
and scope for corrective actions - Interface with customer supplier quality engineers
and automotive OEMs as the voice of quality engineering - Coordinate root cause analysis of complex problems
- Coordinate and help define corrective actions for a
wide range of IC and sensor failure modes - Prepare 8D corrective action reports and explain root
cause and corrective actions to customers - Join on customer audits of facilities and
processes - Develop formal written reports to communicate trends,
status and pending actions - Develop formal presentations
- Occasional domestic and international travel
Education & Experience:
- Requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in a related
technical field, and a minimum of six years of technical experience,
preferably in the semiconductor industry. Ideal candidate will have an MS
and MBA. - Proven management and leadership of mid-sized to
large organizations - Excellent organization and communication skills both
written and verbal are essential - Public speaking is required

- Must have expert working knowledge of core Quality
tools such as SPC, FMEA, Problem solving methods, PDCA - Must have working knowledge of analytical tools such
as SAS, Tableau and Python - Good computer skills using Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint
