Jon has led professional services firms operating in 9 countries as well as with one of Japan’s largest staffing and outsourcing firms. Jon has also been on the Board of Japanese companies in three industries: pharmaceutical market research, retirement home construction and management, and global IT and outsourced services.

Tricia has worked in a number of direct and digital marketing agencies prior to joining Emerge. Leveraging 13+ years of leadership and strategy experience, Tricia now applies her client service acumen and strategic thinking to Emerge’s Client Engagement Center where she develops integrated sales and marketing programs to drive revenue and results for clients.
VP, GM Asia Operations
With a strong desire to provide high quality APAC focused services, Mike started operations in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia in 2013 and India in 2015. Mike has overall responsibility for Asia operations. Originally from Canada, Mike has lived, studied and worked in Japan for 20 years. In his free time he can be found with his sons at the local hockey rinks supporting their (his) dream of playing hockey in the NHL.

Takashi Seta covers permanent and contract staffing solutions for bilingual roles with a focus on IT and emerging industries such as 3D printing and GIS. Before he joined EMERGE (formerly PATHWAYS) he successfully established a new recruiting team at a bilingual employment website company and also worked at a global recruitment company. A graduate of Waseda University, Takashi has a background in psychology and can speak Japanese, English and Spanish. Takashi loves music, and in his free time can be found performing at soul and locking dance events.

Aya Kubota joined EMERGE (formerly PATHWAYS) in 2015 and is very popular with candidates and clients alike. An English literature graduate, Aya brings a natural warmth to the office and her previous experiences in customer service and administration make her a great asset to the team. Aya spent 3 years in the Maldives and in her spare time she enjoys musicals, movies and sports.
Akemi Hirata is a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) with over 10 years of IT Training experience at multinational firms in Japan as well as psychometric assessment and coaching. Joining the company in 2012, Akemi played a key role in the start of the Training & OD division and has also lead RPO projects. Akemi is a keen traveler and flower arranger, ensuring that the Tokyo EMERGE office is always in bloom.
Service Delivery Manager – Desktop Support
Newton leads a large team with overall responsibility for Front and Back Office services plus Trade Floor technical support. A creative thinker focussed on finding effective solutions, and a strong communicator.
